Jamhunters - Colortones

Lekkere Smoothjazz/Lounge van dit duo uit Denemarken.

Hailing from Denmark Lars Fabiansen (guitar) and Peter Michael (keyboards) have founded their music project Jamhunters in 2006 with their self titled debut album. With Music Speaks Louder Than Words (2008) and Driftin' (2011) they continued their enthusiastic passion. Now on a broader base follows Colortones (2015).

Joining the project are the musicians Christina Boelskifte (vocals), Klaus Menzer (drums), Claus Suhr (percussion) and Andre Sorensen (bass). All tunes are composed, arranged and produced by the creative duo.

With Musicolor leads us Jamhunters into the musical chromatics. Gentle guitar sound mingles with female vocals and keyboard vibrations. Ready For Take Off allures with fine jazzy guitar riffs and chords in the style of Zachary Breaux. The ballade Let Me Feel Your Love features the lovely Christina Boelskifte, who impresses with her powerful but female tremolo.

The stomping Somebody Out There is a real party burner with impressing guitar riffs, Christina in full swing and some vocal tricks (vocoder or talk box). The rhythm style reminds of the early Shakatak. Tea Time For Lucy offers relaxed music with elegance and esprit. The Woman Walkin´ By The Sea sways in a Bossa Nova fashion with some Carlos Jobim influences.

Color Control has that special something, which captures the audience. Mix the steel band harmony of Spyro Gyra's Morning Dance with Mezzoforte's Garden Party and you know what I mean! Houston, we have a hit! When the sun rises and the first sunrays are shining through the fog billowing over the calm sea, then it's the time of the Morning Mist, wonderfully described in this tune.

Fly Me To Heaven has a bluesy approach with a vocoderized vocal line. Walk By My Side exposes anew the awesome vocals of Christina Boelskifte in a melodious set. Out Of The Blue means something happens and it is completely unexpected. This piece of music does not apply the description. Relaxed and dreamy are the right attributes. Final tune of the album is Slow Colors. An intimate guitar piece that continues the peaceful mood.

Jamhunters deliver with their fourth album Colortones finest music with high professionalism. They understand and perform the ultimate grooves.
